Canyon has introduced a new affordable aluminum all-road and light gravel bike, the Endurace AllRoad, priced at just under €1,000. Aimed at new riders or those transitioning from mountain biking, it’s designed to be a versatile entry-level option for both road and gravel cycling. The bike replaces the popular 2018 Grail AL and strikes a balance between affordability and performance, offering a solid spec without significant compromises. Canyon emphasizes its versatility, making it an ideal choice for riders exploring various terrains, from tarmac to gravel roads.
The Endurace AllRoad is positioned as an endurance road bike with wider tire clearance, allowing it to handle up to 40mm gravel tires. This makes it a practical all-rounder, suitable for riders who might not yet know whether they prefer road or gravel biking. It features endurance geometry for stability on varied surfaces while remaining agile on the road. The bike comes with Schwalbe G-One Comp tires for fast rolling, but riders can upgrade to wider slicks or knobby tires depending on their preferences. The tubeless-ready Alex rims also offer flexibility for future upgrades.
Key technical details include a hydroformed aluminum frame weighing 1543g, a full carbon fork at 487g, and conventional internal cable routing for easier servicing. It uses a Shimano Cues 2×10-speed drivetrain with hydraulic disc brakes and features 12mm thru-axles, flat-mount disc brakes, and a PF86 press-fit bottom bracket. In Europe, it’s priced at €999, while UK buyers can get it for £949. In the US, it will be offered only in silver for $1,399.
