Seth Dunwoody, the Irish junior racing for international trade team Cannibal B Victorious, has taken his biggest win of the season at E3 Saxo Classic Juniors.

The Irish teenager had come very close in other major races in Europe in recent weeks, taking the runner-up spot in Kuurne-Kuurne Juniors back in February while also finishing 2nd on two stages of French stage race Penn Ar Bed-Pays d’Iroise the week before last.

However, he made no mistake in the final of E3 Saxo Classic Juniors to take a very strong victory after also claiming some wins on home roads this season.

Today, after 117.7k of racing in Belgium the junior classic came down to a big bunch sprint, with Dunwoody hitting the front early and beating his rivals by a considerable margin on the line.

He had plenty of time to celebrate his victory, which he took from runner-up Matijs Van Strijthem (Van Moer Logistics Cycling Team) and 3rd placed Jasper Schoofs (Acrog-Tormans U19).

More to come.
