The Elite National Team & Keirin Track Championships will take place at Sundrive Velodrome on Saturday August 7th.
The day when Irelands most successful Women’s Teams select & put out their best ‘Team Sprint’ or ‘Team Pursuit’ to battle for the coveted Elite Champions of Ireland Jersey.
‘Weston Homes-Torelli-Cayman’ have entered a very strong Team that should be able to defend their very first National Team Pursuit title won last year year. Sundrive Track Team have named two Teams, with their A Team having the experience to regain the title lost to Torelli in 2020.
Arcane Women’s Team go in as top seed in the Team Sprint , however they are without both medallists from the 2020 event. The race is a three woman event for the first time at an Irish Nationals, and with Nikki Taggart having moved to a new UCD Sprint Selection , they will be the strong favourites to take Gold.
Orla Walsh (Nopinz Motip Race Team) will go in as strong favourite in the Keirin, and she will face opposition from the UCD Cycling Club trio (Including the 2020 defending champion).
