Gardaí are investigating a serious road crash involving a cyclist on the N17 in Co Mayo, which occurred on Friday afternoon. The incident has left the cyclist, a man in his 60s, with life-threatening injuries. He was discovered in the road at approximately 12:20 pm and was subsequently transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The crash took place on the N17 between Mayo Airport and Charlestown. Gardaí have not yet confirmed whether another road user was involved in the incident.
