Podium for the Timmy James Memorial Trophy Road Race including Timmy’s mum

The leading riders in the race including first junior Zak Machin (2nd from left)

Race rolls out of the Whitham Hall Prep School with the two trainSharp riders Ollie Peckover and James Bevan at the front

Half a lap done and all together but lots of attacking. AT one point just after this, there was a 20 second advantage for three leaders, Ollie Hucks, James McKay and Nick Cooper but the move came back.

The race was very strung out the next time past with gaps in the peloton as they raced towards the finish to complete another lap. Harry Green and James Bevan of Trainsharp Elite were two riders getting a mention on social media getting a gap.

Sebastian Garry, Josh Housley, James O’Connell and Leon Mazzone gapping the peloton on the climb into Whitham on the Hill.

The race was full gas and riders had been popped out the back but the lead peloton was still big and there were still many many attacks

Junior rider (first junior in the race) Zak Machin leads Brad Symonds of Saint Piran in a large breakaway that included (according to social media)  Toby Barnes, Adam Duggleby, James Bevan (trainSharp), Cameron McLaren, Matt Watson, Josh Housley, Sam Asker, James McKay, Josh Ravn, George Wood, Ollie Snodden, George Peden, Tobias Bartlett, Clay Davies,  Josh Price, Joe Coukham

A five strong chase group on their way across to the front group lead by Alex Richardson of Saint Piran

The breakaway with four to go lead by eventual winner James Mckay

Three riders then came through with three to go, James McKay, Alex Richardson and Clay Davies

They were being chased by three more (Peden, Bartlett, Garry)

In the sprint to the finish. it was Richardson and McKay side by side until with 50 metres to go, Richardson eased and McKay took the win arms aloft

Ollie Hucks comes in a few seconds clear of the rest for fourth

Alex Peters was then 5th across the line ahead of Ben Pease and Oliver Snodden who fell after the line (hoping he’s okay now)
