Rory Townsend and Imogen Cotter have been unveiled in their new team kits for the season ahead. Both former Irish champions, they are looking forward to a season of road racing in Europe.
Townsend is in the pro ranks for the first time this year having signed for Pro Continental squad Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, bagging himself a two-year after a brilliant couple of seasons.
Having won the 202km La Roue Tourangelle Centre Val de Loire (1.1) in France last March, the 28-year-old should be in the mix again chasing more wins this season.
Cotter, back from a horrible training ride crash a couple of years ago, will line out for Hess Cycling Team in the year ahead, a British team.
Hess Cycling Team is an expanding UCI Continental team with big plans and said it was excited to sign Cotter for the 2024 season. It described the 30-year-old as “a rider who shares their story authentically, showing you that pro cycling is more than the wins and losses”.
