Reframing MTB 2025: A Weekend to Transform Mountain Biking
If you’ve ever wondered how mountain biking could become more sustainable, inclusive, accessible, or enjoyable for more people, Reframing MTB 2025 is the event for you. Scheduled for March 7–9, 2025, in Bristol, this inspiring weekend brings together the mountain biking community to explore innovative ideas, share expertise, and work towards a better future for the sport. With a mix of workshops, rides, trail work, and social events, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re a rider, trail builder, brand representative, researcher, or simply passionate about the sport.
What’s Reframing MTB All About?
Co-hosted by Ride Bristol, Reframing MTB is a collaborative initiative now in its third year. It aims to make mountain biking more inclusive, sustainable, and fun while fostering stronger connections within the industry. This year’s event will focus on three key themes:
- Creating mountain biking environments that appeal to more people
- Building a stronger mountain biking sector
- Promoting a responsible and sustainable mountain biking industry
The event is open to all, with discounted tickets available for trail associations and non-profits at just £20. Outdoor businesses are also encouraged to send employees as part of personal development or training initiatives.
Friday, March 7: Inspiring Talks and Workshops at Bristol Harbourside
The weekend kicks off at the M Shed on Bristol’s historic harbourside, where attendees will hear from inspiring speakers and dive into thought-provoking workshops.

Bex Barona and Chloe Taylor from Gowaan Racing, alongside Lyndsey Hollands from British Cycling’s Limitless Program, will discuss adaptive mountain biking and making the sport accessible to all.
2. Towards a Stronger Mountain Biking Sector
This session will focus on collaboration and community-building. Andy Davies from Dean Trail Volunteers (DTV), Kate Thoday from Forestry England, and Dom Ferris from Trash Free Trails will share insights on working with landowners, businesses, and volunteers to strengthen trail networks and support those who maintain them.
